About Our School
Palomino Intermediate School takes great pride in delivering exceptional education to all students. The dedicated teachers design engaging lessons that align with the latest Arizona State Standards.
The school proudly implements PBIS, a school-wide framework that thoughtfully integrates research-based practices to promote positive behavior and social-emotional growth. At Palomino Intermediate, students learn to support the learning, safety, and well-being of others through S.O.A.R. (Safe, Outstanding, Accountable, and Respectful) expectations.
Students at Palomino Intermediate enjoy a variety of enriching classes, including art, band, strings, chorus, and PE. Students visit the library weekly and have daily access to laptops to support learning in the classroom. The After-the-Bell program provides opportunities for academic intervention, enrichment, and youth development.
At Palomino Intermediate, the mission is to foster a positive school-wide atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to be their best: academically, socially, and emotionally. The school inspires lifelong learning and character building as staff prepares Palomino Intermediate students to be college and career-ready.
As an AVID school, the school is committed to closing the opportunity gap by equipping every student with the skills and tools necessary to succeed in college and beyond.
